Anoosh Kareem

Student Therapist (Supervised by Suramya)

B.A (Hons.), M.Ed. (Cand.)

Anoosh is a Master of Education candidate in Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of Toronto, with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Social Psychology and a minor in Mental Health, Addiction, & Society from McMaster University. For over three years, she has provided emotional support and crisis intervention through Distress Centre Halton’s 24-hour helpline, alongside experience supporting individuals with schizophrenia, children through stress-management and mindfulness workshops, and hospice patients.

Anoosh’s goal is to help clients feel comfortable seeking support and recognizing that their experiences deserve to be heard and understood. She hopes to help clients reconnect with themselves while prioritizing their well-being, and developing the confidence and tools to navigate life’s challenges in a way that feels authentic to them. She strives to create a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where clients can slow down, reflect, and explore what they need without feeling they need to have all the answers.

Outside the Office

Beyond school and work, you can usually find Anoosh watching a good show (probably Love Island), finding a new café to try, going shopping, and taking way too many pictures along the way.
